Inside the top events around the Houses this week

Last week at our Houses and in our communities across the world, we celebrated Ramadan in Mumbai, Art Week in São Paulo, and brought a member-led exhibition from Singapore to Tokyo. Iftar feast at Soho House Mumbai
In Mumbai, we celebrated the last week of Ramadan with a grand Iftar feast. Members and friends gathered to break their fast at sunset with rose sherbet and Medjool dates, followed by a bespoke menu featuring delicacies such as Buransh Ki Tikki, Malai Kalmi Kebab, Sikandari Raan Biryani, and more. 

THEN / NOW exhibition, Cities Without Houses Singapore and Tokyo supported by Mikkeller and Niang breweries
In Singapore and Tokyo respectively, the THEN / NOW exhibition, an audio-visual collaboration between two Soho House Hong Kong members – photographer Kary Kwok and British rave producer James ‘The Magus Project’ Banbury, revisited and revived the 1990s. A beautiful time of self-expression, late-night dancing and DIY fashion. 

THEN / NOW featured 25 photos shot on 35mm at 1995’s Alternative Miss World competition in London, where Kwok put the audience in the subject and looked at how they used ‘outfits’  as a form of unique expression. The project also accompanied an eight-track vinyl record released on independent Hong Kong label, Silk Road Sounds.

Beats and Sips, Brighton Beach House supported by Rock Angel rosé
Last Saturday, our British seaside House played host to legendary disco DJ, Sophie Lloyd, for an epic sundowner party. With the pool bar stocked with cold Rock Angel rosé, we manifested upcoming summer beach house energy.

In celebration of Mexico City: Palo Santo dinner and Sound Session, Cities Without Houses Atlanta 
The Cities Without Houses Atlanta community celebrated the forthcoming Soho House Mexico City opening with a 60-person seated dinner at Palo Santo. Mexico City-born chef Santiago Gomez created a four-course modern Mexican menu paired with Casa Lumbre agave spirits.

The Skin You’re In panel, Cities Without Houses Glasgow 
In Glasgow, Cities Without Houses and The Aesthetics Club hosted a panel of leaders in Scotland’s emerging aesthetics, beauty and skincare space to discuss body and beauty standards in 2023. Guest speakers included Jamie Genevieve of Vieve cosmetics; food and travel social personality, Jess Tedds; CEO and founder of The Aesthetics Club, Fiona Ross; yoga guru and studio owner, Steph Wall, and dietician Kerri Major. Following the panel, guests enjoyed gift bags, canapes, and non-alcoholic drinks.

Mendes Wood DM Brazil Art Week cocktails, Cities Without Houses São Paulo 
Art gallery Mendes Wood DM hosted the São Paulo Cities Without Houses community to celebrate Brazil’s primary Art Week. Fifty-five members gathered for cocktails and conversation at Bar dos Arcos, a bar and restaurant in the historic Theatro Municipal de São Paulo.
